It doesn't take much like one might think. You just need to have the passion, patience, some equipment, can't be scared of a dark spooky environment and most importantly, you need to believe there is a force stronger then yourself that exist out there somewhere. You just have to find it. Or it might find you?
Equipment needed or would be good to have as a Paranormal Investigator.......
1. EMF Reader, Thermal imaging Device
2. Digital Voice Recorder
3. Digital Camera & Video Camera
4.Flashlights, Lanterns, Headlamps. Bring as many lights as you can.
5.Batteries (make sure you have plenty of batteries because Spirits could drain them fast when they are near )
6. Temperature Gauge (When Spirits are near the room temperature could drop severely)
7. Make sure you do your research on the location you're wanting to investigate. Most land owners or caretakers don't like trespassers or violators, due to vandals. So you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Seek permission first. This is very important.
8. It would be wise to have a group of friends when you go investigate. You never know what you'll run into out there. Because 'they say' the best time to investigate is between 12 am and 5 am. The witching hours. Ghost only come out at dark right? LOL.
9. You'll need the means of travel. There's 'Haunts' scattered all over the world. Just because there isn't a specific Haunt somewhere you want to investigate don't mean it's not Haunted. You might get lucky and something might happen!
10.You need to have the passion to be a Paranormal Investigator. It takes a lot of time and patience to do so. Staying up late and traveling. So if you have a day job, you just might find yourself parked on the side of the road after an investigation like myself, because I do have a day job too. Grab your coffee, soda or energy drink, you'll need it. Being a Paranormal Investigator is like having a 2nd job!
Lets talk about the equipment. You don't need high dollar equipment. If you're on a budget, Any cheap device will work. Check your local Dollar Store, or any other retail store.
If you have any more questions about this, Daryl and I would be more then happy to help you get started. Hit that contact button or you can find us on Facebook as well.
Good luck out there everyone and be safe. Happy Investigating!
